Embellish the play excerpt

WOW is all I can say!

An excerpt of Embellish was taken and made into a stage play. It was awesome!! When it was time for Nacio to hit the stage, the ladies swooned. He literally rolled on to the set in a smoky fog bank that set the mood in the cozy little decades old theatre house. WOW you should have been there!!!

The next showing will be Sunday August 23, 2009 @ 6:30pm at the Josephine Street Dinner theatre. Hope to see you there!

Running around like a headless chicken

Hi Folks,

An excerpt of Embellish has been turned into a play, and today was one of many play practices. Today the stage director was giving me feedback on the narration of the book. She is extremely dramatic, and a perfectionist. I was exhausted after my efforts to meet her standards.

There will be two performances, one tomorrow and one next Sunday at the Josephine Street Dinner playhouse here in San Antonio. The stage director is expecting a pretty big turnout--we'll keep our fingers crossed.

Well, gotta run...straight to sleep that is. I'll post soon.

Trudging away at Embellish II: Justice Served

Hi Folks,

Just taking a break from the keyboard. CSI is on, and I had to stop, and check it out. Keeps me inspired!

Well, I'll post to you later.

Embellish author R. L. Sloan says "Hello"

Good Evening, I'm R. L. Sloan!

I have recently published the paranormal vampire romance novel Embellish! I had a wonderful time writing this novel, and have already begun the second book in the series. I'll let you know a little something about Embellish:

As a young girl, Solis Burkes is raped at the hands of ruthless school bullies, an incident that haunts her into young adulthood. Then she meets Nacio, a strikingly handsome man who seems to know everything about her, including the painful past Solis hasn’t told anyone about. But what Solis doesn’t know is that Nacio has been with her every step of the way, protecting her ever since that fateful episode.

It’s a destiny he’s been working up to for the last 257 years.

Now, as Solis enters a dark world of vampires, voodoo, and passion, she’ll need all the protection she can get. Unbeknownst to her, those responsible for Solis’s rape have returned. Connected to the evil voodoo Priestess Auldicia, they’ll stop at nothing in their plans to spew violence and mayhem throughout the city. And an old family feud dating back centuries puts Solis first on their list of targets. But not if Solis can unravel the clues fast enough, and inflict her own brand of revenge...

Embellish mixes sexy romance with high-stakes paranormal intrigue for a keeps-you-guessing, fast-paced and savvy thriller, right up until the shocking finale.

I have quite a bit of feedback thus far on Nacio. Most of my female friends have said that their husbands and boyfriends have a few choice words for me, because their "women" are infatuated with Nacio, heeheeheeheeee. I really got a kick out of that. Most females that have read the book love to hate the villainess Childress Treemount.

Anyway, hope you enjoy it. I'll post to you soon. :)
